Renowned Harpist Richard Spendio has agreed to appear as a guest artist for Summer Soul Sounds. He joins Mary Elizabeth Micari, an ordained minister and Reiki master, who has gathered a group of vibrant musicians to create an afternoon of sound and music healing.

After four years as a resident company in Strawdog Theatre's Hugen Hall, The Forks & Hope Ensemble is producing their first fully devised work at Jackalope's Frontier this August. A Hero's Journey uses Joseph Campbell's 'hero's journey' theory to explore humanity's impulse to tell and re-tell stories of mythological heroes. Using the ensemble's trademark playful, movement-based aesthetic, each performer goes on their own heroic journey, which reveals parallels to their own lives. Audience members can expect to meet epic characters like Odysseus, King Sejong, and Psyche on a human scale in an intimate, imaginative setting.

Annex Theatre will present Girl, a generative, site-specific production directed by Mary Hubert and created by The Ensemble.
