The fourth season of the Netflix series The Crown has had fans buzzing about the accuracy of several scenes depicting performances from Princess Diana. Another scene in the series shows Diana performing Uptown Girl for a surprised opera audience, as well as her husband Prince Charles, along with dancer Wayne Sleep. It turns out this really happened, as well!

Deadline has reported that Jonathan Pryce has been cast as Prince Phillip in The Crown. He will take on the role in seasons 5 and 6 of the Netflix show, taking over from Tobias Menzies, who portrayed Prince Phillip in season 3, and in the upcoming 4th season. Matt Smith played Prince Phillip in seasons 1 and 2.

The concert featured performances by Bernadette Peters, Lea Salonga, Elaine Paige, Colm Wilkinson, Judi Dench, Jonathan Pryce, Ruthie Henshall, Ellen Greene, Michael Ball, Tom Lehrer and many more, including Julie Andrews as host. Richard Jay-Alexander served as Executive Director for the NYC office of producer Cameron Mackintosh and ran the North American operation for over a decade. Richard's recent directorial credits include 'Les Misérables' and 'Guys and Dolls,' both at the Hollywood Bowl. He has also staged concerts for superstars such as Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Bernadette Peters, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and Kristin Chenoweth.
