The National Theatre's production of The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time leads the list with eight nominations, followed by the toe-tapping new musical Top Hat receiving seven, and the West End transfer of Chichester Festival Theatre's revival of Sweeney Todd in close competition with six. Other stand-out nominations include The Audience and Kiss Me, Kate receiving five each, and Constellations, The Bodyguard and Twelfth Night with four. (more...)

From 5 February 2013, joining the previously announced Gavin Lee who will play Jerry Travers in the West End hit musical Top Hat are Broadway actress Kristen Beth Williams as Dale Tremont, Olivier award nominee Alex Gaumond as Alberto Beddini and Clive Hayward as Horace Hardwick. Over 180,000 new tickets are released for public sale today (10 September 2012) as Top Hat at the Aldwych Theatre extends its booking period to 28 September 2013. Seventy seven years after its movie release, Matthew White's production arrived in the West End earlier this year having completed a 20 week sell-out UK tour. Tom Chambers and Summer Strallen take the lead roles of Jerry Travers and Dale Tremont in Top Hat which receives its West End stage premiere at the Aldwych Theatre previewing from 19 April, with press night on 9 May 2012. The show is currently booking at the Aldwych Theatre until 26 January 2013. Tonight (13 March 2012) Top Hat opens at the New Victoria Theatre Woking where it will play until 17 March 2012 before visiting Bristol Hippodrome (21 - 31 March 2012) prior to its West End run. TOP HAT to Open at West End's Aldwych Theatre, April 2011

Following a 17 week UK tour and seventy seven years after its movie release, Top Hat will receive its West End stage premiere at the Aldwych Theatre previewing from 19 April, with press night on 9 May 2012. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (12 November 2011) and Top Hat is currently booking at the Aldwych Theatre until 26 January 2013. In addition to the West End announcement, Top Hat today also announces pre-west end tour dates as follows - New Victoria Theatre Woking, 13-17 March and Bristol Hippodrome, 21 - 31 March 2012. Seventy six years after its movie release, Top Hat will receive its world stage premiere at the Milton Keynes Theatre on 16 August 2011 where it opens for the start of an initial 17 UK week tour prior to an anticipated West End transfer in spring 2012. (more...)
