Scottish artist John Gray presents a series of paintings inspired by the city of Edinburgh, its history and people at the at Whitespace in Gayfield Square from Friday 13 to Thursday 26 April 2012 as a way of paying homage to the city which gave him the education and provided the environment that inspired him to spend the rest of his life as a professional artist. Salomee Spleet Presents Premiere of Duras' LA MUSICA, 4/19 - 5/12

Salomee Spleet is proud to announce the world premiere of a new translation by Chicago Dramatists resident playwright Alice Austen of Marguerite Duras La Musica, directed by Noémi Schlosser, April 19 - May 12. Opening/Press night is Thursday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. Performances are Thursday, April 19, Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Chicago Dramatists, 1105 West Chicago Ave. The production then moves for the remainder of the run (Saturday, April 28, Friday, May 4 and May 11, Saturday, May 5 and May 12 at 7 p.m.) to Alliance Française, 54 West Chicago Ave. Tickets are $25, which includes a complimentary glass of French wine. There is an industry performance Monday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Alliance Française, tickets are $10 for industry professionals. The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today the motion picture and long-form television nominations for the 23rd Annual Producers Guild Awards. The categories include: The Darryl F. Zanuck Producer of the Year Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures; The Producers Guild of America Producer of the Year Award in Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures; and The David L. Wolper Producer of the Year Award in Long-Form Television. The documentary film category and other television category nominations were already announced by the Guild in December 2011. ( more...)
