Amas Musical Theatre Presents The New York Premiere of TEA FOR THREE, Beginning 5/30 by BWW News Desk - Apr 17, 2013
Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) to present the New York premiere of TEA FOR THREE: Lady Bird, Pat & Betty starring Elaine Bromka, written by Drama Desk and Lortel Award nominee Eric H. Weinberger with Ms. Bromka and directed by Byam Stevens. Tea For Three begins performances on May 30 and will celebrate its opening on Monday, June 3 and will run through June 29, 2013 at The 30th Street Theatre (259 West 30 Street). The Second City scoured their address book to assemble a cast of seven luminary L.A.-based alumni for their hilarious take on the beloved Charles Dickens tale of hope and redemption. The world premiere of The Second City's "A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!" is written by Second City alums, Peter Gwinn (formerly of "The Colbert Report") and Bobby Mort (currently of "The Colbert Report"), and opens November 29, 2012, at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre. Ron West Replaces Joe Flaherty as 'Scrooge' in The Second City's A CHRISTMAS CAROL: TWIST YOUR DICKENS! in LA by BWW

There is a casting change in The Second City's "A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!" presented at the Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre. Ron West will join the cast to play the role of Ebenezer Scrooge. Joe Flaherty was originally announced in that role but needed to leave the production for personal reasons. The twisted telling of Charles Dickens' holiday classic will open November 29 and continue through December 30, 2012. Previews begin November 24. (more...)

Last year, the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival began a partnership with the Carolina Theatre in Durham and partnered with the theatre to present two shows during last year's festival. Both shows were wildly successful and this year should prove to be no exception.
