FUNNY GIRL, the sensational musical comedy revival, is coming to Detroit’s Fisher Theatre for a limited two-week engagement from September 26 to October 8 as a part of Broadway In Detroit’s 2023-24 Subscription Season.

FUNNY GIRL, the sensational musical comedy revival, is coming to DPAC for a limited one-week engagement from November 7 – 12, 2023, as part of Truist Broadway at DPAC.

59E59 Theaters has announced the casts of BAROCOCO and First Down. BAROCOCO will begin previews February 9 and open February 13 for a run through March 6, 2022. First Down is scheduled to start performances on February 18 and open February 24, ending its limited run on March 5, 2022.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Broadway's punk rock/musical theatre lovechild is on-stage at Olney Theatre Center. Revolutionary punk-rock sensation Hedwig and the Angry Inch is coming to Olney Theatre Center this winter (November 26, 2021 to January 2, 2022) starring Mason Alexander Park, who earned a Helen Hayes Award for Best Leading Performer in a Musical for their role as the Emcee in Olney’s 2019 production of Cabaret.

The Old Globe will continue its streaming productions with English and Spanish language versions of Anonymous Biography: The Arguments of Juan José Saer, a world premiere play by Argentinian writer Juan José Saer, with English translation by Roanne Kantor.

The Herb Alpert Foundation and the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) have awarded the 2020 Herb Alpert Award in the Arts (HAAIA) to five exceptional mid-career artists. Now in its 26th year, the annual award provides five unrestricted $75,000 grants to independent artists working in the fields of dance, film/video, music, theatre and visual arts. The recipients will be honored at a virtual ceremony hosted by Herb Alpert, his wife Lani Hall Alpert and the Herb Alpert Foundation on Friday, May 22, 2020.
