The Broadway Dreams Foundation will kick off its 2013 Summer Performing Arts Intensive Tour, titled 'Circle of Dreams,' at RISPA in Atlanta, GA on June 3, 2013 followed by week-long intensives in Charlotte, NC at Mathews Playhouse; UCLA in Los Angeles, CA; Omaha Performing Arts in Omaha, NE; KimMel Center for Performing Arts in Philadelphia, PA and Hartford Stage in Hartford, CT. The organization just celebrated the start of the season and the three new educational initiatives at a reception on May 20 at the Room Mate Grace Hotel in NYC. Joey Contreras Named Broadway Dreams Foundation's Artist in Residence; New Initiatives Announced

The Broadway Dreams Foundation announced their dedication to three educational initiatives that align with their mission and will offer BDF students exciting performance opportunities while also supporting emerging artists and creative projects. The three initiatives include a sophomore album by musical theater songwriter Joey Contreras, the development of a new musical, and a showcase featuring BDF students from across the country at NYC's New World Stages. Broadway in South Africa Moves 5th Anniversary Celebration to Avenues, the World School, 5/6

The previously announced Broadway in South Africa 5th Anniversary Celebration-a star-studded concert of original music based on essays and letters from South African students who participate in their youth development programs-will now take place at Avenues, the World School, a brand new state-of-the-art 'world school' and 'integrated learning community, located on the High Line. After last summer's hugely successful "Broadway Sings The 90's," 'The TRL Generation' returns at the Canal Room on Sunday, March 3rd at with "Broadway Loves Britney," a song and dance extravaganza paying tribute to our generation's princess of pop, Ms. Britney Spears. The 9:30PM concert will be produced and musically directed by Benjamin Rauhala and directed by Kyle Fox, with musical arrangements and orchestrations by Joey Contreras, Benjamin Rauhala, and Charlie Rosen. The first in Drew Overcash's new Exposed series, Pfeil has performed Joe's Pub, the American Theatre of Actors, Sidewalk Cafe, Le Patisserie, and The Bitter End. He was the resident composer with the ESL children's theatre company in Korea where he developed and produced The Nanny, Charlie's Video Game Adventure and Finding Home and his one man show Billy & Blake was recently premiered at the Tongue and Cheek Theatre. Also a proud AEA member, Pfeil has recently been seen in Man of La Mancha, A Christmas Carol (Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey), Little Shop of Horrors (New Repertory Theatre), Paula Vogel's A Civil War Christmas (Huntington Theatre Company), Assassins (Company One), To Kill a Mockingbird (UCCS Theatreworks).
