FX Picks Up THE AMERICANS for Second Season by TV News Desk - Feb 21, 2013
FX has picked up its critically-acclaimed drama The Americans for a 13-episode second season, it was announced today by John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks. The most recent drama to join the network's coveted roster of hit original series, the renewal comes just four episodes into The Americans' freshman season. There are nine all-new episodes remaining in the current season airing Wednesdays at 10:00 PM E/P with the season finale schedule to air on May 1. (more...)

Breaking News: Cole Porter's CAN-CAN Headed Back to Broadway in Spring 2014 with Revised Book; Workshop This Fall by BWW News Desk - Jan 17, 2013
Just announced is news that the Cole Porter classic, Can-Can, will kick up its heels in a new production to land on Broadway in Spring 2014. Presented by Jonathan Burrows, nephew of the musical's original book writer Abe Burrows, the new production features a revised book by David Lee (Two By Two and Gigi at Reprise, TV's "Frasier" and "Cheers") and Joel Fields (How I Fell in Love at Abingdon Theatre Company, TV's "Ugly Betty' and 'Raising the Bar'). Lee directs the production, featuring choreography byPatti Colombo (Peter Pan) and musical direction by Tony Award nominee Steve Orich (Jersey Boys). Prior to the Broadway production, a workshop will take place in New York in October 2013. Casting has yet to be confirmed. (more...)

FX has signed Broadway veteran and JUSTIFIED actress Margo Martindale for an 8-episode arc on its upcoming drama series THE AMERICANS. The network recently announced the series is set to premiere on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT.

Schooled stars Tony nominee Peter Friedman (Playwrights Horizon's Circle Mirror Transformation), Sarah Steele (Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3's Slowgirl), Harry Zittel (Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3's All-American) and Zoe Winters (Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3's 4000 Miles).
