New York Theatre in the D-Lounge begins a monthly event intended to showcase up-and-coming song-writers and performers beginning September 17.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Kritzerland, Inc. will present the New York premiere of The Brain from Planet X, a 1950's sci-fi spoof about alien invasion with book by David Wechter and Bruce Kimmel and music, lyrics and direction by Kimmel.

The New York Theatre Barn has announced its New Play Reading Series, with four free, invitation-only readings taking place at Manhattan Theatre Club Studios this month.
