The Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania will begin their season with MAME starting May 23, 2013. The show will star Andrea McArdle in the role of Mame and Lea DeLaria as Vera Charles. DeLaria is a multi-talented performer, she is known as a comedian, jazz musician, actress and author. On stage, DeLaria is best known for her role as Hildy Esterhazy in ON THE TOWN in which she was nominated for a Drama Desk Award, and won a Theatre World Award. (more...)

Winslet & Foster Lead Polanski-Helmed 'God Of Carnage' FIlm by BWW News Desk - Sep 23, 2010
Deadline.com exclusively reports this morning that Kate Winslet and Jodi Foster will star in the film adaptation of Yasmina Reza's Tony-winning play, God Of Carnage, to be directed by Roman Polanski. Inglorious Basterd's Christoph Waltz and Crash's Matt Dillion will play their spouses. Reza has adapted her original script for the screen alongside Polanski. Though the film is set in Brooklyn, New York, the 12-week filming will begin in Paris in February due to Polanski's legal troubles in the US. (more...)

The winners of the 2009 Directors Guild of America Outstanding Directorial Achievement Awards and the recipients of the Guild's 2010 Career Achievement Awards were announced last night during the 62nd Annual DGA Awards Dinner at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles. Kathryn Bigelow won the DGA's Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for The Hurt Locker.
Following the welcome by DGA President Taylor Hackford to an audience of more than 1,600 guests, director/actor Carl Reiner hosted the ceremony. (more...)
