New York-based contemporary dance company KDNY presents their 2009 NYC Season, TREADING PUDDLES, an evening of World Premieres set to original live music by Cristina Spinei at The Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater, The Joan Weill Center for Dance from December 3-6, 2009.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater announces special music and video releases to coincide with 'Best Of' and 'Classic Ailey' performances at BAM's Howard Gilman Opera House (30 Lafayette Avenue) from June 9-14. A commemorative edition DVD of Judith Jamison's Emmy-winning 'A Hymn for Alvin Ailey' television special will be available along with the soundtrack to Alvin Ailey's landmark Blues Suite, on CD for the first time.

A One-Night Only Evening of Classic and Contemporary Dance including Choreography by Artistic Director John Prinz, Michael Chernov and Gelsey Kirkland, James Kinney, Vasily Vainonen, and staging by Elena Kunikova. 'John Prinz and Friends' will take place on Sunday April 5 at 7:30 PM at The Ailey Citigroup Theater/The Joan Weill Center for Dance, 405 W 55 St.

The Ailey Extension is pleased to offer fans of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Ailey II a free 'Ticket to Dance'-the opportunity to receive a complimentary Ailey Extension class with their ticket stub from any Ailey performance in the nation! The offer is good for one year from the performance date for first time students, and for returning students when purchasing a 10-class card for classes at the Ailey Extension in New York City.

Saeko Ichinohe Dance Company will have a 38th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, March 29, 2007 at 7:30 & Sunday, March 30 at 3:00 pm at The Ailey Citigroup Theater (The Joan Weill Center for Dance), 405 West 55th Street at 9th Avenue. The program will include five pieces including two World premieres and a revival of a Ruth St. Denis piece. Saeko Ichinohe dedicates the performances to her mentor, Antony Tudor in his centennial year.

Chamber Dance Project's 2007 repertory season will include two new premiere ballets by Diane Coburn Bruning and Matthew Prescott, a commissioned score by Giovanni Spinelli, and two contemporary ballets by Victor Quijada and Adam Hougland. The season, which runs December 6 - 9, opens with a Benefit Performance and party hosted by Bebe Neuwirth at the Joan Weill Center for Dance at the Ailey Citigroup Theater

The second week of the 13th annual 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Festival will feature Claire Porter, from February 21st through 25th at the Ailey Citigroup Theater at the Joan Weill Center for Dance

Francesca Harper, who is currently on leave from the Broadway cast of The Color Purple, has joined the cast of Sweet Charity and will perform the role of Helene opposite Molly Ringwald on tour.
