Hole in the Wall Theater to Present THE CRUCIBLE, 5/15-6/6

The Hole in the Wall Theater (HITW) in New Britain, CT is proud to announce the fifth production of its 2014-2015 season, The Crucible, by Arthur Miller. Performances run Fridays & Saturdays from May 15-June 6, 2015 with one Sunday matinee on May 24th at HITW on 116 Main Street in New Britain, CT. Tickets are $20.00 (general admission) and $15.00 (students and seniors).  They can be purchased at the door and online at www.hitw.org. The May 22nd show will be our Pay-What-You-Can performance.   The Crucible, under the direction of Kelley Mountzoures of Plainville, is being presented to coincide with Arthur Miller's 100th Birthday.

The Hole in the Wall Theater (HITW) in New Britain, CT is proud to announce the second production of its 2014-2015 season, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Dale Wasserman and based on the book by Ken Kesey . It will be performed tonight, October 31 and November 1, 6, 7, 8, 14 & 15 at 8:00p.m. at HITW, located on 116 Main Street, New Britain, CT. Tickets are $20.00 (general admission) and $15.00 (students and seniors). They can be purchased at the door and online at www.hitw.org. The November 6th show will be our Pay What You Can performance. Cuckoo's Nest is under the direction of Jim Williams (Plainville).

Coronado Playhouse Presents SPAMALOT, Now thru 11/30

Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy, MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, this Tony Award winning musical retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Spamalot is a Broadway spectacle following the medieval heroes on a quest that includes a bevy of beautiful show girls, killer rabbits, and a disco dancing Lancelot. Many of the side splitting laughs you loved in the movie are recreated on stage in this larger-than-life production that will have you laughing your coconuts off. Spamalot runs today, October 24-November 30, 2014.

Rob Ashford to Helm Workshop for MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Rob Ashford helmed a June reading for Alfred Uhry's musical version of John Berendt's 1994 best selling book MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL. Producers Craig Haffner and and Anne Hamburger revealed intentions to take the new musical to London next, prior to a Broadway run. Now according to an Equity casting notice, the same team will helm a New York City workshop for the show on September 15-19.

According to Deadline, Rob Ashford recently helmed a reading for Alfred Uhry's musical version of John Berendt's 1994 best selling book MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL. Producers Craig Haffner and and Anne Hamburger revealed intentions to take the new musical to London next, prior to a Broadway run. The cast for the reading included: Tony Goldwyn, Leslie Uggams, Peter Cincotti, Jessica Molaskey, Michael Park and Jake Robinson. A workshop is reportedly set for September- casting has not yet been announced.

Bet Williams And John Hodian to Bring FAMILY CIRCUS Tour to Jim Rouse Theatre, 4/17

From ancient monasteries in Armenia to music festivals in France, Germany & Switzerland, Bet Williams and John Hodian have been creating and performing music together for over 20 years. With both the world music ensemble 'Epiphany Project' and the alt-rock-pop-blues based 'Bet Williams Band' the music these two artists create is a vast quilt of influences and inspirations. Originally from New York, the duo settled in Berlin 5 years ago and has built a strong cult following throughout Europe. Bet and John will be featuring music from both their bands at the Jim Rouse Theatre for the Performing Arts' Black Box Theatre April 17, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. (www.rousetheatre.org) in Columbia, MD. Tickets are $18. This American tour is particularly special as they will be performing with their 10 year-old son, Jack, on drums and percussion.

Michael Riedel reports in today's The New York Post that producer Anne Hamburger, founder of Off-Broadway's En Garde Arts, has acquired the rights and hired Alfred Uhry to turn John Berendt's 1994 best selling book MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL into a Broadway musical. Said to be nearly done with the first draft, the show will feature musical numbers from the catalog of Johnny Mercer.
