Jim Carrey Set for Summit's RICKY STANICKY

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the studio has offically tapped Jim Carrey to star in the film, following multiple false-starts and casting flubs. James Franco had originally signed on to star in 2010, but ultimately walked away. Joaquin Phoenix had also entered negotiations last year, but he, too, opted out of STANICKY. (more...)

It seems that OZ's magic is just slightly more powerful than BURT WONDERSTONE's wonky slight-of-hand. Sam Raimi's fantasy adventure, a prequel to the hit film, THE WIZARD OF OZ, starring James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams, took in an additional $42.2 million during its second weekend, bumping its two-week total to just over $145 million.
