Julie White & Tony Goldwyn to Host BORN FOR BROADWAY Benefit, 5/21

The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation has announced that theater and film stars Julie White (Transformers, Little Dog Laughed) and Tony Goldwyn (Ghost, ABCs new hit series Scandal) will host the third annual Born for Broadway benefit, which will take place at the American Airlines Theatre, 227 West 42nd Street, on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 8 PM. BROADWAY BACKWARDS 7 will play Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre tonight at 8pm. The show will feature some of Broadways biggest names singing songs originally written for the opposite gender: women singing songs written for men and men singing songs written for women. BROADWAY BACKWARDS 7 to Offer $40 Rush Tickets

A limited number of $40 rush tickets to the star-studded BROADWAY BACKWARDS 7 will be released for sale at 6:30 PM Monday, March 5, 2012. The rush tickets will be sold outside the Al Hirschfeld Theater (302 West 45th Street) and will not be available at the box office. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, cash only and are limited to two tickets per person. The show begins at 8 PM. ( more...)

The one-night-only benefit will now also include Tony Award-winners Betty Buckley and LaChanze (Color Purple), stage and television star Michael Urie (How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, TV's "Ugly Betty") and TV icon George Takei ("Star Trek").
