The most celebrated musical of the 2006 Broadway season, The Drowsy Chaperone, a new musical comedy, is coming to the Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Avenue, for nine performances, June 1-17, 2012. With music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, and a book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, this musical within a comedy takes a modern-day spin on musical comedies of old. (more...)

Producers Scott Landis and Philip Morgaman have announced that EVER AFTER, a new musical based on the 20th Century Fox Film, will open on Broadway in the 2013-2014 season following a pre-Broadway engagement to be announced. The production will be directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. EVER AFTER features music by Zina Goldrich and book & lyrics by Marcy Heisler, who recently won the 2012 Kleban Prize for Musical Theatre for most promising musical theatre lyricist. The tour of the Broadway revival of West Side Story is coming to New Jersey. West Side Story will open at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center on May 1, 2012. Award-winning librettist Arthur LaurentsÂ’ Broadway direction will be recreated for the tour by David Saint, the Associate Director on Broadway. Mr. Saint is also the artistic director of the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, NJ.
