New York's Rattlestick Playwrights Theater announces the Los Angeles premiere of the critically-acclaimed play Slipping, written and directed by Daniel Talbott, which will begin previews Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Elephant Stages' Lillian Theatre in Hollywood, CA. This March, The Ghost Road Company presents the world premiere of its latest ensemble-devised production, The Bargain and the Butterfly. Inspired by American novelist Nathaniel Hawthorne's short story, The Artist of the Beautiful, and under the direction of Katharine Noon, the Los Angeles-based theater company has created a beautifully haunting new play, which explores the delicate intersection of genius and madness. Performances will be held at Artworks Theatre (6569 Santa Monica Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90038) tonight, March 26 through Sunday, April 7, 2013. (more...)

In partnership with The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago, the Columbia College Chicago Theatre Department presents Double Edge Theatre, performing a work co-commissioned by the Theatre Department and The Dance Center tonight, January 18th and 19th at The Dance Center, 1306 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago. The company also will participate in The Dance Center's 14th season of FamilyDance Matinees Saturday, January 19, including a free movement workshop with the artists followed by a family-friendly performance.
