Jason Alexander, new artistic director of Reprise! Broadway's Best, announced that Cleavant Derricks, Meg Gillentine, Amelia McQueen, Ken Page, Ty Taylor, Lillias White and Jackee Harry would head up the cast of Damn Yankees. Damn Yankees will perform Tuesday, November 6 through Sunday, November 25 (opening November 7) at UCLA's Freud Playhouse.

On April 24 and April 25, the New Amsterdam Theater will host the 20th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition. What started out in 1987, backstage at the Palace Theater, raising 18 thousand dollars, has grown into an event which has raised over 20 million dollars (in total) for BC/EFA. Here is a special look at Bonnets past featuring such favorites as Joel Grey, Bernadette Peters, Idina Menzel, Laurie Beechman, Nancy LaMott, Jerry Lewis, Jane Krakowski, Gwen Verdon, Tom Hulce, Elaine Stritch, Johnny Mathis, Barbara Cook, and more.
