The highly anticipated film INTO THE WOODS had its premiere last night, December 8th at New York's City's Ziegfeld Theatre. The film hits theaters on December 25th, is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests. THE ELEPHANT MAN opened last night, December 7, 2014 at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th St), starring two-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper, Academy Award nominee Patricia Clarkson and Alessandro Nivola. Directed by Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis, the limited engagement will play through Sunday, February 15, 2014. The Royal Court Theatre and Headlong's co-production of The Nether by Jennifer Haley is coming to the West End. According to the Daily Mail, the play will run at the Duke of York's Theatre from January 30, 2015, starring original cast members Amanda Hale, Stanley Townsend, Zoe Brough and Isabella Pappas.

PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST - an evening with the Tony Award-winning actress Linda Lavin and her husband Steve Bakunas, a painter, actor and jazz drummer - was just presented by the Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) last night, June 16 at 7 pm to benefit the company's productions, artistic development initiatives and arts education programs, it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, The Vineyard's artistic director, and Sarah Stern, co-artistic director. PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST featured Ms. Lavin and Mr. Bakunas in a 90-minute intimate evening during which Ms. Lavin answers questions about her life and career, posed by her husband while he paints her portrait on stage. An evening of warmth, romance, humor and nostalgia, the couple has previously performed the program at venues around the country.
