The Live Arts 2022/23 Transformations Season continues with Jonathan Tolins' delightfully comic solo show, BUYER & CELLAR, directed by Jude Hansen. BUYER & CELLAR will have 16 performances in the Founders Theater, April 7 through April 29, 2023, at Live Arts Theater.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) is pleased to share The Harvard Foundation of Harvard University's announcement that our Founder Elton John will receive The Harvard Foundation's 2017 Peter J. Gomes Humanitarian Award at a ceremony on Monday, November 6, 2017.

A man enters the space and walks the perimeter of The Kitchen's vast stage. Soon the entire arena will be filled with seven bodies locomoting with the purposeful gait of New Yorkers. Patterns form, collisions are narrowly missed, and somehow though it is only walking, we are rapt with anticipation. Anyone who has been in a modern dance class - or spent an hour people watching for that matter - has seen this before: walking patterns are nothing new to dance.

American Dance Institute (ADI), continuing to find new ways to support contemporary dance artists, will present performances in New York City for the first time this summer, offering five premieres over the course of five weeks at The Kitchen, June 2 - July 2. The third of ADI's New York premieres at The Kitchen will be celebrated choreographer Jane Comfort's You Are Here, June 16-18.

THe Lingua Franca Spoken Word Movement, one of Cape Town's premier poetry collectives, will present the Western Cape's first and only festival dedicated purely to spoken word. The Naked Word Festival will serve as an affirmation, a declaration and an exploration of the future of a distinctly South African poetry.

Mee, Witness Relocation will apply its unique, pop-culture dance/theater style to a play that crams all of human history into one day, reflecting on the pain of life and the perennial elation of falling in love. La Mama E.T.C. will present the work's world premiere tonight, April 4 to 21 in its Ellen Stewart Theater, directed and choreographed by Dan Safer.
