Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts is springing into action with even more exciting shows added to its 2019-20 season that everyone can enjoy. Performances include must-see local talent, classical tunes, hysterical comedy and evengings of jazz and American Songbook greats. Below are just-announced shows and the remaining 2019-20 season to spring you forward and into summer.
CBS Announces Daytime Programming Lineup

CBS, the #1-rated network in daytime for 32 years, today announced season premiere dates for its entire award-winning schedule for the 2019-2020 season. The full lineup was recently honored with 16 Daytime Emmy Awards.

The 2019a?"20 season is bursting with performances for everyone, from acclaimed singer-songwriters and must-see dance companies to renowned classical musicians, returning favorites and more. Marc Cohn, Spanish Brass with Chano Domínguez, the return of Live & Local performances and the always-funny Louie Anderson join the beloved Keyboard Conversations with Jeffrey Siegel series, internationally known violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter and Broadway veteran Patti LuPone to round out the Center's 2019a?"20 season.
The Cleveland Orchestra's Presents ARIADNE AUF NAXOS

On January 13, 17 and 19 Franz Welser-Most and The Cleveland Orchestra continue an ongoing commitment to present opera at Severance Hall with a made-for-Cleveland production of Richard Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos which is being performed for the first time in the Orchestra's history. In his years as music director, Welser-Most has led The Cleveland Orchestra in performances of many orchestral works by Richard Strauss, as well as presentations of four other Strauss operas: Elektra (2004), Der Rosenkavalier (2007), Salome (2012), and Daphne (2015).

Presenters have been announced for the 28th Annual LA STAGE Alliance Ovation Awards on Monday, January 29, at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Red carpet arrivals will begin at 6pm and the ceremony, hosted by Kirsten Vangsness, is set to begin at 7:30pm.

The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Möst announce further details of their new production of Debussy's Pelléas and Mélisande, including the complete three-part series of behind-the-scenes production videos. The impressionistic French opera, with its luminous and hypnotic score, is being presented at Severance Hall May 2, 4, and 6, 2017. The creative team for this brand-new, made-for-Cleveland production is being led by Director Yuval Sharon working with Set Designer Mimi Lien, Lighting and Projection Designer Jason Thompson, Choreographer Danielle Agami, and Costume Designer Ann Closs-Farley.
