Artist Georgia O'Keeffe, celebrated for her modernist paintings of flowers, and Patricia Highsmith, the prolific writer best known for such works as Strangers on a Train (1950) and The Talented Mr. Ripley (1955), have been added to New York City's LGBT historical narrative. This month, the NYC LGBT Historic Sites Project published two new entries to its website, a compendium of extant sites in all five boroughs where LGBT history has occurred and influenced our city and our nation's culture.

As a young man, Bryan Fonseca had a mission: contribute to this city in a way that is helpful, hopeful, and heart-full. With a strong group of eager young adults, they took over the Broad Ripple Playhouse to present thought-provoking work that spoke to the community and its needs.

Actors Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker, who were to appear with host Isaiah Sheffer in Public Radio International?s popular series 'Selected Shorts,' on May 4 at the JCCSF, have had to cancel the engagement due to conflicting obligations. The unique night of literature in performance in Kanbar Hall will now feature René Auberjonois and Christina Pickles, who join Sheffer in reading short fiction focused on that SF obsession, food!
