Readings will take place on Tuesday July 10th and Wednesday July 11th at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center located at 480 West 42nd Street. Adam Shankman's ROCK OF AGES, which opened last weekend, brought in an additional $8 million in its second weekend, according to Boxofficemojo. As Broadwayworld previously reported, the musical earned $14.4 million in its opening weekend, and a total of $28,763,000. The movie took fifth place (behind Brave, Madagascar 3, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Prometheus), having the sixth-highest opening ever for a musical. (more...)

Adam Shankman's ROCK OF AGES, which opened last weekend has officially brought in $19,360,137 million in its opening week, according to Boxofficemojo. As Broadwayworld previously reported, the musical earned $14.4 million in its opening weekend, far behind the debuts of Hairspray (also directed by Shankman) and Universal's Mamma Mia!, which opened with more than $25 million each.
