Gretna Theatre and The Lantern Lodge are thrilled to present Broadway's Timothy Shew and Jane Brockman in a dinner-cabaret event 'Love 'Round the Piano' for two performances only on Saturday, February 12 and Sunday, February 13, 2011. Guests will be treated to a fully served dinner at the famed dining and lodging establishment in Myerstown followed by a cabaret featuring love songs from Broadway sung by two of our favorite leading actors, Timothy Shew and Jane Brockman. Gretna Theatre producing artistic director Larry Frenock said, 'We are so fortunate to have Broadway blockbuster talent such as Tim and Jane to star in our shows during the summer seasons. The level of talent Gretna Theatre attracts is very exciting - and we are grateful they could slip away from their busy New York careers to join us for this special Valentine's Day Weekend of love songs!'

Chamber Music Palisades (CMP), the Westside music series celebrated for its stellar artistic line up and juxtaposing works old and new, presents noted artists Sarah Thornblade, violin, Robert Brophy, viola, and Armen Ksajikian, cello, who join series Co-Artistic Directors Delores Stevens, piano, and Susan Greenberg, flute, to perform four mesmerizing chamber music gems on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, 8 p.m., at St. Matthews Parish in Pacific Palisades. The program includes the West Coast premiere of Jan Novák's Sonata Tribus for Flute, Violin and Piano, Quartet in D Major, K. 285 for Flute and Strings by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Schubert's Adagio & Rondo Concertante for Piano Quartet, in F Major, D. 487, and César Franck's Sonata in A Major.

Last night, Monday, May 10, The New Group opened their latest production of The Kid. This marks the final production in The New Group's current 2009-2010 season, which featured Kenneth Lonergan's The Starry Messenger and most recently, the hit revival of Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind, directed by Ethan Hawke. The Kid plays a limited Off-Broadway engagement through May 29 at The New Group @ Theatre Row. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the opening night after party arrivals.
