Riverdale Rising Stars' MID-LIFE 2: THE CRISIS CONTINUES Premieres Tonight

The Riverdale Rising Stars will present the first public performances of the new musical revue, MID-LIFE 2! (The Crisis Continues). Written by brothers Bob and Jim Walton, the show will be presented as a staged reading starring Broadway guest performers tonight, Wednesday, May 22, and tomorrow night, Thursday, May 23 at 7:30pm. Coyote REP's RATED M FOR MATURE Extends for FringeNYC Encore Series thru 9/22

Coyote REP has announced that RATED M FOR MATURE by Greg Ayers, a play that was featured in Coyote REP's 2010 Works-in-Development Series, will now be featured in The New York International Fringe Festival's Encore Series! After a successful run in this year's FringeNYC, Rated M for Mature was selected from among nearly 200 FringeNYC productions to move into the SoHo Playhouse for Encores. This special honor gives the production an extension of five more performances, starting Monday, September 10th. (more...)

Paul Dobie to Direct World Premiere of RATED M FOR MATURE at FringeNYC

Rated M for Mature, which will make its world premiere this summer at the Cherry Lane Theatre as part of the New York International Fringe Festival, is inspired by real events and will feature direction from Paul Dobie (currently the Assistant Director of Wicked who also served as AD on the Broadway productions of Thoroughly Modern Millie, Glengarry Glen Ross and Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me). The production will run from Wed. 8/22 thru Sun. 8/26 and is produced by Ryan Duncan (the original casts of Shrek and Altar Boyz).

The Conference, under the leadership of Artistic Director Paulette Haupt, runs from June 25 through July 15 at the O'Neill?s Waterford, Connecticut, campus and will develop not just three, but four original music theater pieces this season. Nicola; Managing Director, William Russo) have announced that in connection with their co-production of the musical THE SHAGGS: PHILOSOPHY OF THE WORLD, the original 1969 recording 'Philosophy of the World' by The Shaggs has been remastered and reissued on CD.
