On Monday evening, April 8th at the finale of Marty Richards' star-studded-sold-out Memorial to benefit his beloved New York Center For Children, which he co-founded with his wife Mary Lea Johnson Richards, Chita Rivera quieted the crowd to make an important announcement regarding the future of the American Theatre and the New York centric film and television's East Coast community. Dan Gallagher and Michael Milton, Mr. Richards' co-workers and right-hand visionaries for over fifteen years, have power-teamed with Producer/General Manager, Cheryl Dennis, to form the new Producer Circle Co. with offices in Manhattan. Russell Grant to Miss Opening Night of MIDNIGHT TANGO Due to Injury by BWW News Desk - Feb 05, 2013
Russell Grant finds himself sharing the dance floor with his favourite partner, Flavia Cacace, along with Vincent Simone, in the West End run of Olivier Award-nominated Midnight Tango, which runs for a strictly limited season at The Phoenix Theatre through 2 March 2013. But according to a recent staement released by a show respresentative, Grant will not be able to partake in opening night. (more...)

Fresh from her victory on BBC 1's Strictly Come Dancing in December, Flavia Cacace is reunited with her professional dance partner, Vincent Simone, for the third consecutive year, in their highly successful, record-breaking show, MIDNIGHT TANGO. Since the show first began in April 2011, it has sold nearly 500,000 tickets throughout the UK and Ireland, meaning almost half a million people to date have been seduced by Vincent and Flavia's hot and sensual show. The Grinch, starring in Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical, visited MSG in celebration of the production that performs at The Theater at Madison Square Garden from December 13-December 30. The Grinch showed off his basketball moves, met fans and players, and promoted the show at Sunday's Knicks game against the Phoenix Suns. The Grinch tried to "steal" the MSG spotlight from Knicks players Tyson Chandler, J.R. Smith, Ronnie Brewer, James White, Chris Copeland and Kurt Thomas. Check out photos from his appearance below! Xiomara Reyes and Eric Tamm will lead the opening night cast of American Ballet Theatre's The Nutcracker at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 7:30 P.M. Choreographed by ABT Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky, the holiday classic will be given 12 performances through December 16 at BAM.

Russell Grant will once again find himself sharing the dance floor with his favourite partner, Flavia Cacace, along with Vincent Simone, when he joins them to star in the West End run of Olivier Award-nominated MIDNIGHT TANGO, which runs for a strictly limited season at the Phoenix Theatre from 30 January to 2 March 2013. And the producers, Arlene Phillips and Adam Spiegel, will be throwing Russell a huge birthday party by moving the press night to his birthday, Tuesday 5 February. (more...)

Dance Project, which gave its inaugural performances at Disney Hall in Los Angeles this past September, will make its Peak Performance debut, October 25-28, with a program of classic works by two of the greatest dance innovators of their generations, William Forsythe ("Quintett") and Merce Cunningham ("Winterbranch"), and the local premiere of "Moving Parts" by L.A. The St. James Theatre, in collaboration with Combat Stress, will mark World Mental Health Day tonight, 10 October with a Q&A session which will take place after the 7.30pm performance of Bully Boy. The panel will comprise Sandi Toksvig, Bully Boy's writer; Anthony Andrews, who plays Major Oscar Hadley in the production and Commodore Andrew Cameron, the Chief Executive of Veterans' mental health charity Combat Stress. Patrick Sandford, Bully Boy's director, will chair the event. The Q&A session is open to all audience members who have attended that evening's performance of Bully Boy. (more...)
