Earlier this week, The Nederlander Organization unveiled the new Lena Horne Theatre in honor of the iconic entertainer and civil rights activist. This is the first Broadway theatre in history to be named for a Black woman. BroadwayWorld was there and you can check out photos from the ceremony here!

Producer Garth Drabinsky Sues Actors' Equity for $50M for Defamation

Attorneys representing producer Garth Drabinsky filed suit against Actors’ Equity Association for defamation. Actors' Equity had placed the Paradise Square producer on the company's Do Not Work list due to 'outstanding payments and benefits, and a continued pattern of abuse and neglect that created an unsafe and toxic work environment.'

Nederlander Organization Will Unveil The Lena Horne Theatre November 1

The Nederlander Organization will officially rename the Brooks Atkinson Theatre as the Lena Horne Theatre on Tuesday, November 1, in honor of the iconic entertainer and civil rights activist, becoming the first Broadway theatre to be named for a Black woman.

The world premiere production of The Devil Wears Prada, The Musical has officially opened in Chicago! The production began performances on July 19th, and celebrated opening night tonight, August 7th. The production runs through August 21st at Broadway In Chicago's James M. Nederlander Theatre. Watch the opening night curtain speeches from producer Kevin McCollum and director Anna D. Shapiro.
