RSC Brings Goold's ROMEO AND JULIET et al. to Lincoln Center '11 by BWW News Desk - Aug 02, 2010
The Royal Shakespeare Company's 44 member acting ensemble will perform five plays by William Shakespeare at Park Avenue Armory as part of Lincoln Center Festival next summer. Lincoln Center Festival and Park Avenue Armory, in association with The Ohio State University, are bringing the Royal Shakespeare Company to New York for this six-week engagement. TBS Films Three Specials At Chicago's 'Just For Laughs' Festival by TV News Desk - Jun 03, 2010
Grammy(R)-winning trio Lady Antebellum and a special guest appearance by Jerry Seinfeld are two of the latest additions to the lineup of specials being taped for TBS at the second-annual edition of TBS PRESENTS A 'VERY FUNNY' FESTIVAL: JUST FOR LAUGHS this June in Chicago. Three specials - Ellen's Somewhat Special Special, Cedric The Entertainer's Urban Circus and Team Coco presents Conan's Writers Live hosted by Andy Richter - are set to be taped at the Festival for premiere on TBS. A fourth special for TBS, How to Build the Perfect Grown Up, is slated to be screened at the Festival prior to its on-air premiere. TBS and Just For Laughs' Festival in Chicago takes place Tuesday, June 14 - Saturday, June 19, with all four specials slated to premiere on TBS the following week. (more...)

On Monday, April 30, at 8:00PM, the 92nd St. Y Poets' Theatre will present the world premiere of Anne Carson's (author, The Beauty of the Husband: A Fictional Essay in 29 Tangos, Autobiography of Red) new translation of Orestes' tragedy Euripides. The staged reading will be directed by David Esbjornson (The Great Gatsby, Tuesdays with Morrie), artistic director of the Seattle Repertory Theatre. (more...)
