Nickelodeon Announces New Programming and Returning Hits

The 2012 Actors Studio Drama School Repertory Season performances will take place at The Theater at Dance New Amsterdam, 53 Chambers St., just north of City Hall, Wednesdays through Fridays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 3 and 8 p.m. from March 28 through April 28. 2012 Tribeca Film Festival Announces World Narrative And Documentary Competition Selections

The 2012 Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by American Express®, today announced the World Narrative and Documentary Competition film selections, along with selections for the out-of-competition Viewpoints section—the program established last year that highlights personal stories in international and independent cinema. Seth Rogen to Serve as Host for 2012 Film Independent Spirit Awards Airing 2/25

Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that produces the Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival, announced that Seth Rogen will serve as host for the 2012 Film Independent Spirit Awards. The 27th annual awards ceremony will be held as a daytime luncheon in a tent on the beach in Santa Monica on Saturday, February 25, and the premiere broadcast will air later that evening at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on IFC. Josh Gad to Star in 1600 PENN Series, THE GAME Movie

According to Deadline.com, Tony nominee Josh Gad will now not only executive produce NBC's 1600 Penn, but also star in it. The series is about 'a dysfunctional family that just happens to live at the most famous address in America.' Gad will executive produce the project along with Jon Lovett and Jason Winer.
Additionally, Gad is in talks to star in Brian Koppelman and David LevienÂ’s The Game, opposite James Franco. Gad will star as 'a Rolling Stone journalist who is a great writer but is not great at picking up women.' ( more...)

Demi Moore Drops Out of LOVELACE Due to Health Concerns

According to The Huffington Post, actress Demi Moore has been hospitalized for what her representatives are calling 'exhaution' issues. As a result, she will be dropping out of the upcoming film 'Lovelace', a biopic of porn star Linda Lovelace. Moore was to have a cameo role in the film, portraying the feminist activist Gloria Steinem. ( more...)
