Bergen County Players to Present Larry Gelbart's BETTER LATE, Beginning 3/23

The Bergen County Players (BCP) in Oradell continues to celebrate its 80th season with a production of 'Better Late,' a comedy by Larry Gelbart and directed by Jerry Pettinati of Fair Lawn. Gelbart's final play will make its debut in New Jersey at the Little Firehouse Theatre on Kinderkamack Road in Oradell from March 23 to April 20. Shows will be on Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. Tickets can be purchased online at www.bcplayers.org, by calling 201-261-4200 or by visiting the box office at 298 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell during regular box office hours. (more...)

According to the web site Ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com, Sir Paul McCartney will stand in for Kurt Cobain during a set at tonight's much-anticipated 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert at Madison Square Garden. The performance will mark a reunion for Cobain's band Nirvana featuring surviving members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic. The duo has not performed together in 20 years, but will reportedly play a new song they've been working on with McCartney. (more...)

It was announced today that Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, The Madison Square Garden Company and The Weinstein Company -- the same group that produced and sponsored the historic 9/11 benefit "The Concert for New York City" -- have come together once again to present "12-12-12" (A Concert For Sandy Relief). The special one night only live music event will help provide assistance to the millions of people throughout the tri-state area who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. "12-12-12" (A Concert For Sandy Relief) will occur tonight, December 12, 2012 at Madison Square Garden in New York. More details on the event and the artist line-up will be released in the coming days. All money raised will be administered directly to those who need it most, through the Robin Hood Relief Fund. Hurricane Sandy Benefit Concert 12-12-12 Secures Worldwide Distribution

The producers of "12-12-12" announced today that the concert at Madison Square Garden on December 12, 2012, at 7:30 PM (ET), to aid the victims of Hurricane Sandy, has secured distribution to over one billion people. The concert will be able to be seen on 34 US networks and television feeds worldwide, radio and online streaming. "12-12-12", which is presented by Chase, will be distributed across networks and feeds in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. Tickets to "12-12-12" went on sale today.

Celebrating 80 years, the Bergen County Players (BCP) will present its annual children's show, David Crane and Marta Kauffman's (creators of the hit television show Friends) tongue-in-cheek retelling of the favorite fairytale, Rapunzel. Under the direction of Jerry Hurley, Rapunzel will be performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell from November 24th through December 16th. Shows will be on Fridays at 8pm, and Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm and 3:30pm.
