New York Comedy Festival Presents LIFE IN A MARITAL INSTITUTION Tonight, 11/11

James Braly's LIFE IN A MARITAL INSTITUTION has been announced as one of the closing night shows of the upcoming New York Comedy Festival. The critically acclaimed one-man show, written and performed by This American Life contributor James Braly, returns to New York City from its national tour for the first time since its sold-out Off-Broadway run. The special performance tonight, November 11, 2012 at Stage 72 (formerly the Triad Theatre) will be followed by a talk-back with producer Meredith Vieira. (more...)

After five years of ongoing renovations, the popular Upper West Side performance space the Triad Theater (158 West 72nd Street) officially re-launches today as STAGE 72 as a part of the New York Comedy Festival, which will include performances and appearances by Susie Essman, Meredith Vieira, two special editions of Celebrity Autobiography featuring Janeane Garofalo, Tony Danza, Mario Cantone, SNL alum Rachel Dratch, and more.

This November, after five years of ongoing renovations, the popular Upper West Side performance space the Triad Theater (158 West 72nd Street) will officially re-launch as STAGE 72 as a part of the New York Comedy Festival, which will include performances and appearances by Susie Essman, David Steinberg, Meredith Vieira, two special editions of Celebrity Autobiography featuring Janeane Garofalo, Tony Danza, Mario Cantone, Oscar-nominee Jennifer Tilly, SNL alum Rachel Dratch, and more. The acclaimed monologist, likened to a new Spalding Gray, comes to West Palm Beach following his sold-out runs in New York City and Philadelphia, to perform his darkly comic tale of attraction, repulsion, death, and the afterlife for two performances.
