NEWSIES, Disney's popular new musical about a charismatic newsboy and leader of a ragged band of teenage "newsies", will receive Actors' Equity Association's Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs (ACCA) Sixth Annual ACCA Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus. The honor is the only industry accolade of its kind and honors the distinctive talents and contributions made by the original chorus members of a Broadway musical. The award will be presented in the Actors' Equity Association Council Room, overlooking Times Square, on Tuesday, November 27, 2012.

NETworks Presentations, LLC, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and Unique Features have announced casting for the upcoming national tour of ELF THE MUSICAL. The tour kicks off at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Rhode Island November 4-10.

The concert's lineup included Jen Noble (Ghost) and Delius Doherty (Book of Mormon), Allison Blackwell (Porgy & Bess), Garett Hawe (Newsies), Carly Hughes (Ghost), Stephen Mark Lukas (Book of Mormon), Corey Mach (Godspell), Matthew Marks (Book of Mormon), Julia Mattison (Godspell), Constantine Rousouli (Ghost), Jack Scott (Newsies), Brendon Stimson (Newsies), Julius Thomas III (Porgy & Bess), and Laurie Veldheer (Newsies). The audience will get to vote on what song each performer will sing, and they wont find out the results until they step up to the microphone.

They'll be thrown into the fire in 'Half Hour: A Last Minute Concert,' a show where even they don't know what they'll be singing before they step up to the microphone. The audience will get to vote on what song each performer will sing.

Alan Menken and Jack Feldman are this year's recipients of the Tony Award for Best Original Score (Music and Lyrics) Written for Theatre for NEWSIES.
