Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, launches its 2017/18 Season with Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun, directed by Carl Cofield.

Two River Theater (TRT) is completing their successful season with a musical theater production that will surely be a hit with metro area audiences. The Ballad of Little Jo will be on the Red Bank stage through Sunday, June 25th. Directed by the theater's Artistic Director, John Dias, the show features a captivating story, excellent music, and an outstanding cast.

The New York premiere of Martin Zimmerman's Seven Spots On The Sun, directed by Weyni Mengesha, presented by Rattlestick Playwrights Theater in collaboration with The Sol Project, celebrated its opening night on May 10. Attendees included Ethan Lipton, Leigh Silverman and Keith Randolph Smith. See William Shakespeare's 'Pericles' at Two River Theater through May 8th. Directed by David Schweizer and choreographed by Dan Knechtges, the show has original music and lyrics by Rinde Eckert and musical direction by Ian Axness. The dive bar setting puts a modern spin on The Bard's classic and the show features an exceptional cast.

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, announces the full cast and creative team for its production of Shakespeare's Pericles, featuring original music and lyrics by multidisciplinary artist Rinde Eckert, who also plays Gower/Old Pericles. Pericles is choreographed by Tony nominee Dan Knechtges (Lysistrata Jones, Xanadu) and directed by acclaimed theater and opera director David Schweizer, whose past collaborations with Eckert include the Obie Award-winning And God Created Great Whales and Horizon, winner of the Lucille Lortel Award.

On Saturday, October 17, Symphony Space presents Frank Sinatra at 100, a starry celebration of the iconic singer's centennial. Over the course of three three-hour sets - 2 pm, 5 pm, and 8 pm - no fewer than 100 songs from Sinatra's repertoire will be performed by an impressive roster of interpreters, including Peter Cincotti, Tony Danza, Rebecca Luker, Marilyn Maye, Tierney Sutton, and dozens more. Instrumental renditions by pianist Bill Charlap, the guitar duo of Bucky Pizzarelli & Ed Laub, and saxophonists Harry Allen and Ted Nash will complement the vocal selections. The house band throughout the day will be led by Russ Kassoff on piano, with Dick Sarpola on bass and John Redsecker on drums.

The Tribeca-based acting studio led by Scott Freeman welcomes the super-busy Santino Fontana and Sarah Steele in its next "Actors Aloud" free panel discussion at on Wednesday June 3 at 6pm. The legendary Cherry Jones is The Freeman Studio's guest on Sunday June 21 at 5pm.

The husband and wife actors Carrie Preston and Michael Emerson will take part in the next "Actors Aloud" free panel discussion at The Freeman Studio, 79 Leonard Street, this Sunday, October 19 at 3:30pm. Co-moderated by the NY Theatre Workshop casting director Jack Doulin and Scott Freeman (The Freeman Studio's founder and director), the on-going series invites distinguished, young actors to candidly discuss their craft and careers and to engage with the audience in a Q&A session after their free-ranging conversation with Doulin and Freeman. Complimentary refreshments are provided.
