MUSICAL THEATRE WEST kicks off the new year with the Stephen Sondheim masterpiece, Sweeney Todd. Previewing on January 29, 2010, Sweeney Todd opens January 30 and runs through February 14 at the spectacular Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach. Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler, is based on the 1973 play Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street by Christopher Bond.

Josh Fedrick has joined the cast of Billy Elliot

Elton John and Lee Hall's multi award-winning Billy Elliot the Musical, directed by Stephen Daldry, will celebrate its 1000th performance at the Victoria Palace Theatre on October 4, 2007 after opening in March 2005. Additionally, two new Billys will join the cast shortly.

As Elton John and Lee Hall's awar-winning Billy Elliot The Musical approaches its second birthday, half a million new tickets will go on sale April 23, taking booking up until December 20, 2008.

Jackie Clune (International tour of Mama Mia, Taboo at the Venue) is set to join the cast of Billy Elliot: The Musical, Monday June 4. She will be taking the role of play Billy's Dance Teacher, Mrs. Wilkinson, shortly after the multi award-winning hit musical celebrates its second birthday.

On February 26, twelve year old Layton Williams made his West End stage debut in the title role in the multi award-winning Billy Elliot the Musical, alternating the role of Billy alongside Leon Cooke, Dean McCarthy and Travis Yates.

The London smash Billy Elliot will open at the Imperial Theatre in summer of 2008

Liam Mower will perform the title role in Billy Elliot the Musical for the final time at the Victoria Palace on Saturday, September 30th
