Vesely, bring all of James’ eccentric characters and spine-tingling moments to life; further heightened by the theaters intimate setting within a remote West Suburban Estate. Now in its 15th season of bringing high quality performances of Shakespeare and other classics to the Chicagoland suburbs, First Folio Theatre will preview THE TURN OF THE SCREW on March 28th, open on March 31 and run through April 29th. CASABLANCA 70th Anniversary Event Coming Movie Theaters, 3/21

Turner Classic Movies Presents Casablanca 70th Anniversary Event on Wednesday, March 21 at 7:00 pm local time, with special matinees in select theaters. Movie audiences in theaters nationwide will be able to experience the time-honored classic in a digital presentation by NCM Fathom Events, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) and Warner Home Video. The event will have a TCM produced introduction by TCM host Robert Osborne who will discuss Casablanca’s enduring legacy and reveal some of its behind-the-scenes stories. Casablanca starred Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman and Paul Henreid and won three Academy Awards® in 1944 including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Screenplay. (more...)

Led by Principal Pops Conductor Richard Kaufman, the Symphony delivers the emotion captured in the triumphant soundtrack created by old Hollywood’s best-known composer Max Steiner. Featuring the popular song “As Time Goes By,” played by Sam (Dooley Wilson), the 1942 film is one from the Golden Age that has captured America’s hearts for decades with the nostalgic love affair between Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman’s characters. Set in exotic Morocco during World War II, with memorable characters, quotable dialogue—“We’ll always have Paris,” “Here’s looking at you, kid”—and a beloved score, the film was an instant success, winning three Academy Awards including Best Picture and a nomination for Best Score.
