Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) - the world's number one live theatre company with over 40 venues in the West End, across the UK and on Broadway - has today announced that they have agreed terms with the co-owners of Sydney's MLC Centre - QIC and The GPT Group (ASX:GPT) - for a lease and the management of  the Theatre Royal in Sydney, Australia.

The Almeida Theatre's critically acclaimed, sold out production of Oresteia, by Aeschylus, re-imagined for the modern stage by Almeida Associate Director Robert Icke (The Fever, Mr Burns, 1984) will transfer to the Trafalgar Studios in the West End from August. Press night September 7th.

Dur to huge demand, new tickets go on sale today for the Sydney season of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show. Audiences are queuing to do the Time Warp with Craig McLachlan, Bert Newton and the rest of the cast. The Rocky Horror Show plays at the Sydney Lyric Theatre from 11 April, before a return season at the Comedy Theatre, Melbourne from 12 June.
