Stephen Sondheim Documentary in the Works; James Lapine to Executive Produce

Cindy Adams writes in today's New York Post that James Lapine will executive produce a documentary on Broadway legend Stephen Sondheim. The film, due out next year, will include 'material is on Sondheim’s life, fresh interviews he’s not given before, videos and new versions of his songs.' (more...)

The Brown University/Trinity Rep MFA Programs present Slawomir Mrozek’s TANGO, directed by Shana Gozansky (Brown/Trinity Directing MFA ’12). Performances are May 3 through May 13 in the Citizens Bank Theater, Pell Chafee Performance Center, 87 Empire St., Providence. With a 2011 Tony nomination for Best Featured Actor In A Play for his magnetic turn in the critically-hailed revival of Larry Kramer’s THE NORMAL HEART on Broadway and a leading role on Showtime’s THE BIG C co-starring real-life close friend Laura Linney, as well as a busy film career that boats memorable turns in THE REF, ME & MY SHADOWS: LIFE WITH JUDY GARLAND, FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS, the recent remake of THE TAKING OF PELHAM 123 and TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, John Benjamin Hickey is a very busy man.
