Theater veterans Mark Lamos and Michael Ross have been named artistic director and managing director, respectively, of Westport Country Playhouse in Westport, Connecticut, as the historic theater enters its 79th season. The new leadership team will assume their positions on February 1, 2009.

Playhouse on the Green, Bridgeport's not-for-profit community theater, presents one of the most popular and powerful stage dramas of our time, 'Twelve Angry Jurors,' for 10 performances only from February 6-22, 2009. The original teleplay of 'Twelve Angry Jurors' is by Reginald Rose, adapted for the stage by Sherman L. Sergel.

To celebrate the recent donation and opening for public viewing of the Katharine Hepburn Papers at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, the Library is presenting a new series of free public programs, Remembering Kate. The programs will include readings from the legendary actress' personal papers for the first time and reminiscences by family, friends, and colleagues including actors Zoe Caldwell, Katharine Houghton (Hepburn's niece), Charlotte Moore, Marian Seldes, and Sam Waterston; talk show host Dick Cavett; and director Anthony Harvey.
