The McCallum Theatre presents the Walnut Street Theatre's production of Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, an adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Hound of the Baskervilles, on Tuesday, February 27, at 8:00pm. The world premiere of ALRIGHT THEN presents a sweet stroll down memory lane of married actors Orson Bean and Alley Mills. The two separate childhood stories of Bean and Mills, through their life together to the present, make up the eighty-minute one-act. Quite a lot to cover in just eighty minutes, which inexplicably include moments of TMI. These moments, though adding to the dramatics, aren't totally essential to the drama.

Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber are proud to announce the second production in its 2017 2018 season of Chicago's hit musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway 1959, hosted by Gene Weygandt, directed by Adrian Abel Azevedo with music direction by David Fiorello, Monday, Feb. 26 at Skokie Theatre, 7924 Lincoln Ave in Skokie at 7:30 p.m. In tribute to the original New Faces series that ran on Broadway and on film from 1934 1968, Porchlight Music Theatre created the Chicago musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway as a showcase for the best emerging music talent now performing on Chicago stages.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center (APAC) will be the first theater in the nation to present "The Next Big Thing," a new musical by composer Gerald H. Bailey and lyricist/book writer J. Laurence Lowenstein. "The Next Big Thing," a musical that has been in development around the East Coast for the past five years, will be directed and choreographed by Gary John La Rosa with musical direction by Thomas Conroy, who also has orchestrated the score and will conduct.
