On Sunday, February 6 at 3 pm, Opera Exposures will offer a program entitled 'The Elizabeth Taylor Greenfield Story' in the Chapel of St. Bartholomew's Church. Born a slave in 1819 in Natchez, Mississippi, Elizabeth Taylor Greenfield would become known as 'The Black Swan,' the first African-American singer to gain recognition in the United States and Europe. She made her New York City debut in 1853 at Metropolitan Hall drawing an audience of over 4,000

In honor of Black History Month, Opera Exposures, a Staten Island-based not-for-profit organization devoted to furthering the careers of both seasoned and young professional singers at venues which are accessible and intimate, will offer its first musical program in St. Bartholomew's Chapel on Sunday, February 6, at 3:00 PM.

Rover Dramawerks Days of Wine and Roses opening this Thursday

Rover Dramawerks opens the classic drama Days of Wine and Roses by J.P. Miller on Thu., Jun. 4 thru Jun. 27 at the Cox Building Playhouse, located at 1517 H Ave. in Plano (next to the Courtyard Theater). Shows will take place Thu-Sat at 8 pm with an additional matinee performance on Sat. Jun. 13 at 2 pm.

Performances will be at the Cox Building Playhouse, 1517 H Avenue in Plano (next to the Courtyard Theater), continuing through June 27, 2009, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., and an additional matinee performance on Saturday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m.

Performances are April 2-4 at the Cox Building Playhouse, 1517 H Avenue in Plano, with seven plays presented on Thursday and Saturday nights at 8:00 p.m. and seven plays presented on Friday at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
