A&E Greenlights RODEO GIRLS Reality Series

A&E Network has lassoed its newest original real life series 'Rodeo Girls' (working title) from The Weinstein Company. Pre-production has commenced on the network's eight one-hour episode order. The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today the motion picture and long-form television nominations for the 24th Annual Producers Guild Awards. The categories include: The Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures; The Award for Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures; and The David L. Wolper Award for Outstanding Producer of Long-Form Television. The documentary film category and other television category nominations were already announced by the Guild in November 2012. (more...)

The Weinstein Company, Quentin Tarantino and Loma Vista Recordings previously announced the release of Quentin Tarantino'S DJANGO UNCHAINED ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK. DJANGO UNCHAINED marks the first time that Academy Award-winning and Grammy Award nominated director Quentin Tarantino has collaborated with artists to create original music for use in the film and original motion picture soundtrack. According to the web site Ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com, Sir Paul McCartney will stand in for Kurt Cobain during a set at tonight's much-anticipated 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert at Madison Square Garden. The performance will mark a reunion for Cobain's band Nirvana featuring surviving members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic. The duo has not performed together in 20 years, but will reportedly play a new song they've been working on with McCartney. (more...)

It was announced today that Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, The Madison Square Garden Company and The Weinstein Company -- the same group that produced and sponsored the historic 9/11 benefit "The Concert for New York City" -- have come together once again to present "12-12-12" (A Concert For Sandy Relief). The special one night only live music event will help provide assistance to the millions of people throughout the tri-state area who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. "12-12-12" (A Concert For Sandy Relief) will occur tonight, December 12, 2012 at Madison Square Garden in New York. More details on the event and the artist line-up will be released in the coming days. All money raised will be administered directly to those who need it most, through the Robin Hood Relief Fund.
