The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today a complete retrospective of three-time Oscar-nominee Ridley Scott, whose career began in the 70's and who has continued to excite and enchant audiences with his remarkable storytelling ability. The retrospective will run from May 25 - June 3 and will include the Director's cut of KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, a new 35mm print of THELMA & LOUISE and the chance for fans to catch all of their favorites on the big screen. The Film Society of Lincoln Center's year-long countdown to the New York Film Festival's historic 50th edition continues this spring, offering the rare opportunity to view several undisputed classics of the big screen, many of which were introduced to the world at NYFF. These include breakthrough films from the 1990s by Zhang Yimou, Gus Van Sant, Jane Campion and more. Portland Center Stage welcomes veteran screen and stage actor Daniel Benzali to the Gerding Theater to star in the upcoming production of Red. Written by Oscar-nominated screenwriter (Hugo) and playwright John Logan, Red will be directed by PCS Associate Artistic Director Rose Riordan. The production begins preview performances on Tuesday, February 21, opens on Friday, February 24 and runs Tuesday through Sunday through March 18, 2012.
