The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Andrew Levine, Executive Director), present a one-night only benefit concert celebrating up and coming musical theatre writers, with the NEO 9 on Monday, May 20, 2013 at The York Theatre (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). 23rd Annual Kleban Prize Winners Announced

The Kleban Foundation has announced that the 23rd annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist has gone to Daniel Mate and the 23rd annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has gone to Alan Gordon. The 2013 prizes will be presented on June 24, 2013, in a private ceremony (by invitation only) hosted by ASCAP and BMI. (more...)

The Dramatists Guild Fund has announced this year's Madge Evans and Sidney Kingsley Award to actress Linda Lavin and playwright Lynn Nottage. The awards will be presented by Dramatists Guild Fund Board Member Terrence McNally on Monday, February 25, 2013 at an intimate salon with award-winning composer Charles Strouse.
