Clubbed Thumb's Summerworks Spring Soiree Set for 5/13 by BWW News Desk - May 10, 2013
Clubbed Thumb -- the Obie Award-winning theater company known for SUMMERWORKS, its annual month-long season of new play premieres -- will hold a Spring Soiree benefit on Monday, May 13 at 6 p.m. at a private residence in Brooklyn. Berkeley Rep's GROUND FLOOR Announces Residencies by BWW News Desk - Mar 18, 2013
This June, as part of an extraordinary new laboratory for collaboration, some of the nation's most prominent and promising writers, directors, and composers converge on Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Today, the renowned nonprofit announced 18 selections for the second sizzling summer lab at The Ground Floor, Berkeley Rep's Center for the Creation and Development of New Work. Since its founding in 1998, Soho Rep's Writer/Director Lab has fostered the development of emerging playwrights and directors, providing mentorship and resources for their new theatrical works. The focus of the DNA New Work Series is to allow playwrights and directors the opportunity to develop a script by providing rehearsal time, space and resources, culminating in a workshop production or public reading. Moss's (punkplay, House of Gold) BILLY WITCH, choreographed by Wendy Seyb (The Pee Wee Herman Show, Yeast Nation), with original music by Nathan A. Roberts, musical direction by Brenna Sage and directed by Erik Pearson (Billy Witch, Studio 42). BILLY WITCH will play a limited engagement at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (30-44 Crescent St, Astoria, NY. Entrance on 30th Road.)
