Comedy Central has given series orders to “Another Period” and “Idiotsitter” and renewed “Inside Amy Schumer,” “Review” and “TripTank,” it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Content Development and Original Programming, Comedy Central. In addition, Comedy Central has ordered five original digital series to be produced byCC:Studios and distributed across multiple platforms including cc.com and the recently released Comedy Central App. The digital series are “6 Guys 1 Car,” “300 Sunnyside,” “New Timers,” “Pie Guys,” “Roustabout with Kurt Braunohler” and “Team Tiger Awesome” and they will premiere on various dates throughout 2014.

Ensemble Theatre's TheatreCLE concludes its 2013-2014 season with VOODOO MACBETH in collaboration with the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival. Originally written by William Shakespeare and adapted by Orson Welles, the production will be directed by Celeste Cosentino and Tyson Rand, opening May 23. The production plays Thurs.- Sat. at 8pm; Sunday at 2pm through June 8th. Preview performance: tonight, May 22nd.

Tala Ashe, Greg Keller, Nadine Malouf and Bernard White will be featured in the upcoming LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater New York premiere production of The Who & The What, by Ayad Akhtar, directed by Kimberly Senior. The Who & The What begins previews Saturday, May 31, opens Monday, June 16 and will run through Sunday, July 13 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65th Street). All tickets will be $20.

When I hear the words side show, I think of a carnival or a circus and all the freaky, crazy attractions you'd see, such as the "bearded lady" or "strongest man" or "the girl with two heads." FLIPSIDE: The Patti Page Story traces her beginnings as a singer for the Page Milk Company program on KTLU in Oklahoma to her success as 'the Singin' Rage, Miss Patti Page' in the 1960s. FLIPSIDE received 18 awards at the Kennedy Center National Theater Festival in 2011 including outstanding musical and outstanding performance by an actress for Haley Jane Pierce. Tickets for this one-night only performance tonight, November 16 at 8:00 p.m. at The Grand 1894 Opera House.

FLIPSIDE: THE PATTI PAGE STORY is taking to the road. In anticipation of the production's Texas stops, I chatted with writer and director Greg White about the show. He explains, 'It's not a revue. It's her story,' and that the show itself is 'funny and very poignant.' He also told me that the show has a little something for everyone. After all, 'they call Patti [Page] Country-politan. She was one of the first crossover artists that did country, jazz, and pop. Believe it or not she did some R&B. Patti did everything.'

59E59 Theaters has announced the roster of shows for the Fall 2012 Season, including the New York premiere revival of Stephen Schwartz' WORKING, beginning Dec. 1, 2012. This is the newly revised, critically acclaimed version of WORKING that recently had a successful run at the Broadway Playhouse in Chicago, after premiering at the Asolo in Sarasota and Old Globe in San Diego.

The intersecting histories of a landmark stadium, the unpredictable New York Mets, and music legend Billy Joel are woven together in the documentary THE LAST PLAY AT SHEA, set to premiere on SHOWTIME on Friday, November 11th at 9:30 PM ET/PT.
