In the final one-hour performance show last night, each of the couples competed in two dances. All three couples had the chance to show their improvement over the course of the season, performing a dance chosen by the judges that they have previously performed, but were able to incorporate new music and new choreography. In the two-hour Season Finale of Dancing with the Stars tonight, May 22 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET), the excitement will continue with a stunning opening number with the entire cast and the Troupe. Tonight, all of this season's eliminated couples will return to the ballroom to perform some of the most memorable routines, as well as a few new surprises, including a special musical performance from Grammy® Award-winning Gladys Knight, who will accompany a dance performance. Grammy® Award-winning superstar Kelly Clarkson will also light up the ballroom singing a medley of her hit songs "Dark Side" and "Stronger," accompanied by Kym Johnson, Tony Dovolani, Anna Trebunskaya, Tristan MacManus and the Troupe. And in the final element of the competition on Tuesday, the three finalists perform a new routine in our "24 Hour Challenge" - in which they will have had 24 hours to pair their dance style of choice to music given to them after Monday night's show. THE RRAZZ ROOM, San Francisco’s premiere nightclub, presents the debut solo engagement of Valerie Simpson running now through May 13. Ms. Simpson wrote some of the greatest love songs of a generation with her husband and writing partner, Nick Ashford, including “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “You’re All I Need To Get By,” “Reach Out and Touch (Somebody’s Hand)” and “Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing.” But when he died of throat cancer in August at the age of 70, Simpson was cast adrift. After spending more than four decades together, she didn't know if she would ever get back on stage. Valerie performs all their greatest hits in this moving concert experience. DANCING WITH THE STARS' Motown tribute week featured new highs and lows in the competition, the newly invoked gladiator-esque dance-off included in the former. The results show featured performances by non-Motown artists - an odd choice - including Boyz II Men and Natasha Bedingfield. At the end of last night, Gladys Knight, the contestant with the most heart according to Len, was at the bottom of the leader board. (more...)
