BWW Interviews: Wendy Melkonian Brings Humor from Page to Stage in Horizon's THE BOOK CLUB PLAY

Wendy Melkonian recently spoke with Broadway World Atlanta about her new play, 'The Book Club Play,' which runs from May 17th-June 23rd at the Horizon Theatre. This new comedy by Atlanta-native Karen Zacarias is directed by Horizon co-artistic director Jeff Adler. The play follows a tight-knit book club bound for pandemonium when it becomes the focus of a documentary film. (more...)

Actors Theatre of Louisville to Open 37th Humana Festival with Sam Mark's THE DELLING SHORE, 2/27

The 37th Humana Festival of New American Plays, made possible by a generous grant from the Humana Foundation, opens with the world premiere of Sam Mark's The Delling Shore, directed by Actors Theatre's associate artistic director Meredith McDonough. The Delling Shore is playing in the Bingham Theatre and begins previews on February 27, opens March 1 and runs through April 7. Tickets are on sale now to the public and can be purchased at the Actors Theatre Box Office by calling 502-584-1205 or online at ActorsTheatre.org. The 2013-2014 Wilson Mainstage Season features a high octane, all-American musical; a hilarious homage to a Hitchcock classic film; a new play by the author of Almost, Maine; an Olivier, Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play about race and real estate; the world premiere of a play ripped from the headlines; and the finale - a beloved and timeless comedy from an American Master.
