THE 12 is a powerful new rock musical with Book and Lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, and Music and Lyrics by award winning composer Neil Berg. A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Second Stage Theatre continues its Uptown Series with the world premiere of The Talls, written by Anna Kerrigan and directed by Carolyn Cantor. Ms. Kerrigan's film Five Days Gone recently premiered at the Brooklyn Film Festival. The Talls will feature Gerard Canonico (Spring Awakening), Timothee Chalamet (Burning Blue), Shannon Esper (Cherry Orchard), Lauren Holmes, Michael Oberholtzer (Incident at Vichy & Raft of The Medusa), Peter Rini (Proposals) and Christa Scott-Reed (The Pitman Painters). Billie Joe Armstrong Returns to AMERICAN IDIOT Tonight

The producers of the critically acclaimed AMERICAN IDIOT previously announced that Green Day frontman and the musical’s composer and co-author Billie Joe Armstrong would return to the role of “St. Jimmy” on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 for the final three weeks of the Broadway production at the St. James Theatre, 246 West 44 Street. Following 421 performances on Broadway and 27 previews, the final show is Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 7:30pm. The first national tour launches in the fall of 2011. (more...)
