Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts presents a diverse week of folk, jazz, Motown, celtic, and country-blues, August 17th-22nd.

The Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF), a highly touted organization which provides financial grants and support services to deserving college students, will host the 5th Anniversary JAZZ on the Grass benefit concert (JAZZ) on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 2 p.m. in Sherman Oaks, California at the estate of Lynne and Oz Scott, renowned director and producer.

As 2010 unfolds, saxophonist, composer, producer and consummate hitmaker, Kim Waters, is sure to have a banner year. The model handsome, soft-spoken and charismatic saxman shares, 'My resolution for this year is to continue having a strong family relationship, make great music, and keep my fans always wanting more.' Waters has built a solid career giving his fans what they want, along the way garnering praise from critics and fans alike and becoming one of the top five best-selling instrumentalists in jazz. Kim Waters' winning combination of sensitivity and brawn, intellect and emotion, coupled with his technique and soulfulness have made him one of the premier architects of Urban Smooth Jazz and a mainstay on Quiet Storm and contemporary jazz radio. Broadway's Meredith Patterson, Emmy nominated Musical Director Rob Berman, and pianist Ross Patterson have been collaborating and developing material for Sweet Old Fashioned Girl since the summer of 2009. They will bring the concert to Birdland on March 15, 2010 at 7pm. Sweet Old Fashioned Girl promises to be a fresh and exciting evening of jazz standards. Drawing from childhood memories with her jazz percussionist father, Patterson's sound is lush and rich bringing together her musical theatre background with her jazz roots.
