THE CONCRETE JUNGLE will have a CD Release Concert at the Cutting Room on March 6 featuring: Kate Shindle as Vanessa, Marissa Rosen as Abby, Nick Dalton as Guy, Jason Gotay as Simon, Anne Brummel as Claire, Jodi Bluestein as Katie, and Geoffrey Kidwell as Dunkan. The concert will also feature songs from the Broadway bound W2ML performed by Gerard Canonico and Mallory Bechtel, the award winning DAYBREAK performed by Erik Sisco, and the 2012 Alec Baldwin Fellowship recipient 'TIL DEATH DO US PART performed by Ward Billeisen, Jackie Vanderbeck, Brett Teresa & Lizzie Hagstedt. The Concrete Jungle, an original work from American composer Bobby Cronin opened at the Studio Theatre of London's Arts Educational School on 8th June, 2012, and runs until the 16th June, 2012. The show follows the lives and loves of a group of young singletons who have just moved to New York City as they share stories in their local bar, 'The Concrete Jungle'. (more...)

Julia Murney et al. Lead 2 Week Run of PETER & I Industry

A reading of a brand new musical entitled Peter & I will be held on August 4th at Ripley Grier Studios. Peter & I stars Chris Dwan, Julia Murney (Wild Party, Wicked), Jack Noseworthy (Sweet Smell of Success, A Chorus Line), Emily Padgett (Rock of Ages, Grease), Constantine Rousouli (Hairspray, Wicked), and Lucas Steele (Three Penny Opera, The Kid). The ensemble includes Kimberly Burns, Ben Hart, Geoffrey Kidwell, Jeff Leatherwood, Sharon Taylor, and Hernando Umana. Book and lyrics for Peter & I were written by Matte O'Brien who will also direct the show. Music was composed by Matt Vinson. O'Brien's most recent work includes the Whoopi Goldberg produced White Noise at the Royal George in Chicago and the Le Petite Theatre in New Orleans. Amanda Morton (16 Days) is the Musical Director for the piece. (more...)
