Rhinebeck Writers Retreat has revealed the residencies for 24 writers to develop nine new musicals. Learn more about the artists!

For its 14th summer, Rhinebeck Writers Retreat is hosting 24 award-winning musical theatre writers of nine new musicals for nine consecutive weeklong residencies between June 23 and August 25. Each writing team will live in a private home in the Hudson Valley for one week to focus solely on writing their musical.

Rhinebeck Writers Retreat announced that ASSISTED, by Adam Chanler-Berat and Julian Hornik, was selected for this year’s Triple R program.

Applications are now open for Rhinebeck Writers Retreat's weeklong summer residencies for musical theatre writers. Nine teams will be selected for a private retreat in the Hudson Valley to focus solely on writing their musical.

Rhinebeck Writers Retreat will host 16 award-winning musical theatre writers of eight new musicals for eight consecutive weeklong residencies between July 3 and August 28.

The winners have been unveiled for this year’s Olivier Awards with Mastercard, British theatre’s biggest night, which took place this evening (Sunday 10 April) at the Royal Albert Hall in London, hosted by Jason Manford.

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce the appointment Shantanique Moore, flutist, as the next recipient of the symphony's two-year fellowship designed to enable one young African American musician the ability to dedicate him or herself to the pursuit of an orchestral career. Next, Scott Alan Evans, executive artistic director of The Actors Company Theatre (TACT), Trustee at The No l Coward Foundation Geoffrey Johnson, and actress Kristine Nielsen discuss the never-produced No l Coward play 'Salute to the Brave,' with co-hosts Susan Haskins and Donna Hanover.

This episode of Theater Talk focuses on the world premiere of No l Coward's SALUTE TO THE BRAVE at The TACT Theatre Company. The guests are The Actor's Company Theatre's Executive Director, Scott Alan Evans who is directing and producing the play; Geoffrey Johnson, a former colleague of Coward's and now a Trustee of the No l Coward Foundation; and actor Kristine Nielsen, who appears in the production, as well as in the recent Broadway revival of Coward's PRESENT LAUGHTER.

In its first segment, THEATER TALK focuses on the play TINY BEAUTIFUL THINGS, now in a highly successful run at The Public Theater. It was adapted for the stage by one of the episode's guests, actor/writer Nia Vardalos, who also stars in the production, co-conceived by the other guest in the segment, writer/columnist Marshall Heyman.

Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) welcomes Geoffrey Johnson, longtime friend and representative of Noel Coward and a Trustee of the Noel Coward Foundation, as he shares personal reflections on the playwright. From Ten Chimneys to Jamaica, New York to London, we'll be treated to an intimate look at the last decade of Coward's life. Randy Bryant, Executive Director of Ten Chimneys - where Coward was a frequent guest - will moderate the presentation. "Remembering Noel" will be at the Broadway Theatre Center on Wednesday, April 20 as part of MCT's ViewPoints series in conjunction with our production of Coward's FALLEN ANGELS.  The ViewPoints presentation is free and open to the public and will begin at 6:30 p.m. immediately before the 7:30 p.m. evening performance of FALLEN ANGELS.
